Your farm, your data
Pomfarm is a focus timer with a little farm. You do not need to register, give us an email address, or create a Pomfarm account. The app has no advertising or advertising tracking. Pomfarm does not send focus-usage analytics.
Pomfarm uses the information below to save your farm, keep your timer running, recover your progress and provide purchases you choose to make.
On your device
Pomfarm saves your farmer’s name and appearance, style choices, farm progress, settings, timezone, focus tags and completed focus history. History includes session times and focus duration. The current timer, notification settings and recovery copies are also stored on your device.
On the web, your browser’s local storage holds your farm. On the iPhone app, local app storage holds it. You choose what to write in names and tags; avoid information you do not want saved in a backup or shown on your own screens.
Private iCloud recovery
On supported iPhone builds, Pomfarm uses Apple CloudKit to save your farmer, settings, completed focus history and farm in your Apple Account’s private iCloud database. Sync runs automatically when available. Your running or paused timer stays on its phone.
Apple provides the storage and an iCloud account identifier that Pomfarm uses locally to keep an existing farm tied to the same account. Pomfarm does not ask for your Apple password or email address. Farm backups are not uploaded to a Pomfarm account server or sent to RevenueCat.
Settings shows sync status and lets you review conflicting saved farms, export a backup and inspect local recovery copies. Signing out of iCloud or switching accounts pauses synchronization of the existing farm. Pomfarm does not automatically move that farm into another account.
Optional purchases
Pomfarm Plus purchases use Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat to check what you own, process purchase requests and restore access. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous app user identifier. Its purchase service processes purchase and entitlement records, including product identifiers, transaction details and subscription status, with device and app information such as operating system and when the app was last seen.
In builds with purchases enabled, RevenueCat checks access when the app opens, returns to the foreground, and at intervals while the app remains active, even if you have not bought Plus.
Apple handles payment. Pomfarm does not receive your payment-card details. Pomfarm does not send your farmer name, focus tags or focus history to RevenueCat. Access comes from the purchase service and is never granted by an imported farm backup.
Apple handles its services under its privacy policy. RevenueCat processes purchase information for Pomfarm as its service provider; its privacy information explains how its service handles data. Purchase records are separate from your local farm and iCloud backup.
Notifications and your watch
If you enable timer alerts or routine reminders, Pomfarm schedules local notifications through your device. The app does not register a remote push token. You can turn these alerts off in Pomfarm Settings or your device’s notification settings.
If you use the Apple Watch companion, your phone sends the current timer state and recent focus tags to your paired watch through Apple WatchConnectivity. The watch stores the state locally so it can show your timer after reopening. Live Activities display timer information on your device’s system surfaces.
Your choices and retention
Farm progress and focus history stay saved until you delete records, replace the farm or remove the stored data. Delete an individual focus record from Focus history. Export your farm or focus history from Settings. A backup or CSV you share goes to the destination you select and remains there until you delete it.
Importing a backup or accepting iCloud recovery replaces the current farm after saving a local recovery copy. Replacing a farm does not erase those recovery copies. Settings lets you export your farm before deleting its progress, focus history and local recovery copies.
You can delete the farm on this device only, or delete its iCloud copy as well. Deleting from iCloud requires a connection and leaves a small deletion marker without farm content, so an older device cannot silently upload the deleted farm again. Other devices and files you exported may still hold their own copies. Local-only deletion keeps the iCloud copy and pauses automatic recovery on this device until you deliberately create or import a farm.
Deleting the app or farm does not cancel a subscription or remove Apple’s or RevenueCat’s purchase records. Manage or cancel monthly Plus through App Store subscription settings. If Plus access expires, premium styles display free defaults; saved style preferences can be restored when access returns.
